We have eaten in this restaurant twice! The food is very good. Pizza in a “wood oven”, pasta with a very good quality! The American coffee after dinner is very good! This is THE Italian restaurant where you have to eat. The service is very good! The waiter and “the nonna” are very friendly and service driven.
We stayed a week in Bocca di Magra and had several meals at Hotel Gori. Excellent italian food and very good service!! This became our favorite place to eat during our vacation, and we would highly recommend it!!
Amazing dishes Pizza was also one of the best we ate for long time. Friendly staff, perfect tiramisu and coffee. If you have time please enjoy the degustation menu with fish, for 23 Euro. Such good quality food with nice wine.
2025 03-13 UPDATE! This place was PACKED and I was sitting next to where people pay for their meal and EVERYONE commented about how AMAZING their pizza was. My favorite is La Segugio. It has truffles, sausages and porcini mushrooms! So good!!! This family owned business is wonderful secret in the quaint town of Ameglia! It is also well located if you enjoy hiking. There are many wonderful trails that the average tourist will never see because they are not part of Rick Steve's path. Bocca di Magra is 5 minutes away and has a lovely port and gorgeous views of the Carrara mountains. Montemarcello is a great hike with the best focaccia panini waiting for you at the top and views of Porto Venere and beyond! Sarzana is a town with cobblestone streets and is a shopper's delight. If you like Gelato, then you must go to Biaggi for the best on the world! Giacomo, Gori's owner, always has a smile and is warm and attentive to his guests' needs. The hotel has only 9 rooms and they are clean spacious. The restaurant is led by Giacomo's mother, Graziella, who really enjoys getting to know her guests. She takes great pride in preparing her dishes and deserts. Yuri never disappoints with his tasty and creative pizzas. We loved our stay and highly recommend it!
Nice, good value pizzareria with wood oven. The pizza chef seemed to be doing 3 or 4 jobs at once. Hats off to him! :)
